Wyvern Media movie Releases: Nature Calls Review

An anarchic tale of battling brothers and a scout troop gone bad, Nature Calls could have been this generation's Bad News Bears. Unfortunately, thanks to an inconsistent script and messy direction, the film ends up being far less than the sum of its parts; a disappointing endeavour for all involved, made watchable thanks to a couple of inspired supporting performances.

Wyvern Media Media Movie Releases: Who Should Sing the Next Bond Theme?

With the next James Bond film - Skyfall - hitting screens at the end of the year, speculation is rife concerning who will perform the movie's theme tune. And following somewhat lacklustre turns from Garbage, Madonna, Chris Cornell, Jack White and Alicia Keys in recent years, the pressure is on to produce a Bond song that can stand shoulder-to-shoulder with the likes of Goldfinger, Thunderball and Nobody Does It Better. So with the filmmakers yet to select an artist, the following are IGN's suggestions for the gig, with a poll at the end so you can pick your own favourite.

Wyvern Media Movie Releases: The 20 Greatest Gunfights Ever

Wyvern Media Movie Releases: The 20 Greatest Gunfights Ever

here's nothing cooler in a film than a tension-filled, beautifully choreographed, bullet-riddled blast-a-thon. Whether it's the balletic mayhem of a John Woo movie, or the impactful and gut-wrenching work of Sam Peckinpah, they're just so incredibly entertaining.
With that in mind, we've put together this list of the 20 most awesome gunfights that movies have given us.
NOTE - We've limited the amount of war movie gunfights that appear on this list. We tried to go with entertaining, rather than harrowing. As much as we love Saving Private Ryan, it just felt disrespectful to place it in this feature.

Wyvern Media movie Releases: Hit Up Your Favorite Pixar Films in Kinect Rush

Last year, Microsoft released Kinect: Disneyland Adventures, a surprisingly fun and well-crafted game featuring the titular theme park and tons of Disney details (our very own Jack DeVries gave it an 8.5). Now Microsoft Studios is looking to take a second swing at a Disney Kinect game with Kinect Rush: A Disney-Pixar Adventure. While Kinect Rush bears more than a passing resemblance to Disneyland Adventures, the game takes great strides to forge its own piece in the family fun market, offering diverse gameplay and a level of detail that Pixar fans will love.

Wyvern Media Movie Releases: Avengers Trailer: Frame by Frame

O.K., let's examine this new Avengers trailer a bit more closely, and without the thrill-a-minute pyrotechnics and bombastic sounds that made everybody wet their pants earlier today. I've grabbed a bunch of screencaps from the piece, mainly of stuff that -- as far as I can tell -- we haven't really seen before. Of course, these images seem to pose as many questions as they answer, but let's take a look and see what we can see...

Wyvern Media Movie Releases: How Mass Effect Challenges Sci Fi's Greatest Achievements

Science Fiction is often referred to as a literature of ideas. Feeling no obligation to depict the commonplace, it gazes much higher, towards the stars, where no subject is deemed too big or too philosophical. It's also one of the most varied of literary genres. It can imagine a better tomorrow – an equitable society free from prejudice and injustice – or a nightmarish world built upon present-day anxieties. It can extrapolate futuristic technology from yesterday's breakthrough. It can even stage the apocalypse.

Wyvern Media Movie Releases: Transformers 4: Most Wanted 'Bots

In case you haven't heard, there's going to be at least one more Transformers movie from director Michael Bay. No big surprise there. One thing that is a little surprising about Bay's fourth outing is that he'll be focusing less on the human characters and more on the Transformers themselves. That's not necessarily a bad thing, but given how many Autobots and Decepticons have fallen in battle so far, the time has come to bring some new players onto the field.

Wyvern Media Movie Releases: Without John Carter There Would Be No Star Wars

Wyvern Media Movie Releases: Without John Carter There Would Be No Star Wars

Carter is the hero of many of Edgar Rice Burroughs' Barsoom novels, which explore life on a dying version of Mars. Burroughs (who also created Tarzan) may not have invented the science fiction genre, but his books played a monumental role in building and shaping what fans expect from it. It's rare to see a sci-fi story that isn't influenced in some way by the Barsoom novels. And with a John Carter movie hitting theaters early next month, we figured now was the perfect time to explore how various sci-fi films have been influenced by and continued the legacy of John Carter.
